Doodle On Google

You know how Google puts up a special, stylized logo on their homepage for various holidays and occasions? Well today Google announced a new competition, “Doodle 4 Google”, which will give aspiring young artists the opportunity to get their own Google Doodle on the homepage and in front of billions of eyeballs.
U.S. students in grades kindergarten through 12 will be offered the opportunity to submit a design to be placed on the Google homepage. The theme of the competition is “What if…?”
40 regional winners will be selected from nationwide entries by a panel of expert judges and Googlers. Regional winenrs will get the star treatment and an invite to the Googleplex in Mountain View, CA. in May. From here, four finalists will be chosen by public vote. After it’s been narrowed down to four, one lucky winner will be chosen by Dennis Hwang, Google’s Chief Doodler, to have their doodle on the Google homepage for a day in the U.S.. The lucky winner will also receive a $10,000 college scholarship, and a technology grant for his/her school.
