Google Acquisitions by Year, 2001-2007

Below, I’ve embedded a table of all the Google acquisitions from 2001-2007 (acquisitions, not investments). It’s essentially Wikipedia’s data on Google acquisitions, with a couple of additions from Stan Schroeder’s big list. Considering that even Wikipedia has missed out a couple, you can see how hard it is to get good data here. But the point remains: Google is on an acquisition spree like at no other time in its history.

Update: We’re told that Google may actually be doing more than 1 acquisition per week at the moment, many of them small. We’re only able to track those that have been announced. So, stats are only valid provided that unannounced acquisitions have stayed at a fairly consistent volume over time.
