Singapore Internet Landscape
By xaby | July 4, 2007
Every other few weeks or so, i would go to Alexa’s Singapore Top 100 website to take a look, to see if there are any new up and coming website. But sadly - no.
Is it because Singaporeans are not enterprising enough? Are we too small as a country? Or simply not enough creative people? Appears that the Top 100 lists consists of major social networking websites like Facebook, Friendster, Myspace etc. Will there be a Singapore version to it?
Many a times I feel Singaporeans are a “lost lot” on the internet, there is not a website that is locally produced. Of course, there are cool sites like SPH’s STOMP, Tomorrow.sg etc but in my personal opinion, not exactly exciting or fun.
